Playable Poster is a playable version of a poster presented at the Meaningful Play 2012 conference.

The poster outlines different approaches IS3D (Interactive Science in 3D) is taking to find a sustainable model for serious game development. It features "Osy," a single cell-like character who represents IS3D. She has to carefully navigate through three concepts: Art, Science, and Game Mechanics and if she gets too close to any one of these concepts she will die! Her first hurdle is a small physical gap between "Schools" and "Standards." Move Osy through the gap and collect the stars on the other side!

Five of the levels ten stars represent the five approaches IS3D is trying. Each approach blends together Art, Science, and Game Mechanics in different amounts.

The remaining five stars in the level require you to control osmosis to attain them. Playable Poster uses the same game mechanics as our game "Osy Osmosis" in which Osy hunts for stars and must take control of osmosis to survive. By adding "bits" to Osy, you can control her size and help her survive in dangerous environments.
